A Case report of parathyroid adenoma

Abstract
|

|
A 30-year old woman was admitted to the Hospital with chief complaints of limbaches, impossible gait and general malaise for over 1 yearr duration. She was diagnosed as Primary Hyperparathyroidism due to adenoma on chemical,radiological and clinical examinations and operative removal of the was perfotmed.
Postoperative course was uneventful except mild, temporary numbness and twitching was soon controlled by calcium supply by twitching of mouth angle which was soon controlled by calciumsupply by per os.
Great improvement of clinical, radiological and, chemical finding was achieved in follow-up study up to date.
Resected adenoma arised from left upper parathyroid gland and measured 5x 2.5x 1.5cm, weighed 10 gm
Histologically adenomas of parathyroid was confirmed (Chief cell type adenoma)
